From PR Watch:
"The nation's nuclear-power industry is set to roll out a multiyear advertising campaign to build public support for a generation of new plants," reports the Wall Street Journal. The ad campaign, run by the PR firm Hill & Knowlton for the industry group Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), promotes a "nuclear renaissance."

Good. Nuclear energy is great! Perhaps the poor will be able to afford to heat their homes during the winter.

The poor might prefer that all this money for PR went to better use.

Yeah. If nuclear energy will be widespread in use, then someone needs to 'warm' people up to it right? You know, 'butter the muffins'? Nuclear energy has a bad reputation, but some of it may be more or less 'urban legend'.
Information and education, er.. PR, seems like a move in the proper direction.
Interesting to see how this evolves.
