As future supermarket zombie-shoppers we'll crawl the aisles pecking at our "shopping buddy" touch screens. RFID and GPS technology will alert us to personalized promotions as we pass by items. The floors and walls will assault us with projected images (read: advertising). And computers will identify the vegetables for us ("Veggie Vision is sensitive enough to tell the difference between different kinds of apples").
It's enough to make you swear off grocery stores for good.
